生きている以上、いろいろなことがある。しかし人間は、何があっても、前へ前へ、勇気をもって、生きていくしかない。
As long as we're alive, we'll face all kinds of problems. But no matter what happens, we simply have to live with courage and press on, aiming always toward the future.
どんな人でも、現実の社会に生きていかなくてはならない。少年は少年として、大人は大人として、生きていかなければならない。
No one can escape the realities of daily life. We have to deal with life and its problems. Young people have their problems, just as adults have theirs.
Life and the world we live in are like a storm-tossed sea. We have to make our way through it, buffeted by all kinds of experiences. There is no other way.
これが人間にとっての一つの宿命なのです。

それぞれの人間は、それぞれの希望をもっている。生き方をもっている。理想をもっている。喜びをもっている。悩みをもっている。苦しみや悲しみをもっている。

しかし、どういうことがあっても、生きていかなければならない。どういうことがあっても、自分の理想、自分の希望に向かって生きていかなければならない。

そこで大事なことは、どんなに立派な夢をもち、どんなに立派な理想をもち、どんなに素晴らしい希望を抱いていても、「実行」するのは「勇気」だということです。心の中に、素晴らしい考えや、計画、思いやりを持っていたとしても、それを「実行」する勇気がなければ、現実には、何も身を結ばない。結局、心に何もなかったことと同じになってしまう。

「勇気」は人間にとっての「原動力」であり「エンジン」なのです。

勇気がある人は力強く、前へ前へ進んでいける。自分が描いていた「山」を登り、「谷」を下り、自分の目指す理想へ、希望へと向かっていける。まさに「勇気」の二字が「力」となっていく。
The courageous have the strength to persevere, calmly traversing life's up and down and advancing steadily toward the summit of their goals and dreams. Courage is a powerful asset.
勇気をもっていない人は、堕落、敗北、横道にそれてしまう。苦しいことから逃げて、楽をしようとする。だから勇気のない人は、人のために尽くせない。自分を向上させられない。立派な仕事を成し遂げられない。ちょうど、「壊れたエンジン」をもっているようなものです。
Those who lack courage stray from the correct path and succumb to apathy, negativity and destructiveness. They run away from hardship, seeking only a life of ease and comfort. Consequently, those who lack courage cannot devote themselves to the happiness of others nor can they improve themselves or achieve anything important or lasting. It's as if their engine is damaged.
題目は「勇気」の原動力です。勇気のエンジンに「火」をつけるのが題目です。その題目をあげるのも、また勇気なのです。
Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is a powerful source of courage. It's the spark that starts the engine of courage. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is an act of courage in itself.

どんなことがあっても生きていかなければいけない。
確かに一つの宿命の側面を持っていると言えるかもしれないですね。
深いです。
この文章を紹介する予定はなかったのですが、どうしても何度も目にとまります。
気になるんでしょうね。
勇気という名の仏のパワーを取り出して、思いもよらない荒波でゲホゲホしながらも、前に突き進んでいきたい。
ところで、
この挿絵に「３６５歩のマーチ」を軽快に歌っている私がいますが（笑）、
この歌の歌詞は、大変に素晴らしいですね。
「３歩進んで２歩下がる」・・。
つまり、自分の「一歩」を前進させるためには、「５歩」動かないといけません。
一歩一歩前進させていくというのは、そういうことですね。
