子供たちに贈る、先生のこんなメッセージ
子どものころから、いっぱい夢がありました。
一つは、本を読むこと、文を書くことが好きだったので、新聞記者になりたい。さらに、みんなに勇気と希望をおくる物語を書き残したいと思いました。
I, too, had many dreams in my childhood.
One of my dreams was to become a journalist because I enjoyed reading books and the writings. I also dreamed of someday writing a story that would give others courage and hope.
また、暗い戦争の時代だったので、日本中の駅に桜の木を植え、花を咲かせて、みんなの心を明るく晴れやかにしたいという夢もありました。
Also, because I spent my childhood during the dark times of war, I dreamed of planting cherry trees near train stations throughout the land so that when they blossomed, they would brighten people’s hearts and lift their spirits.
戸田先生とお会いして仏法にめぐりあったのは、19歳の時です。
I was nineteen when I first met Mr. Toda and started practicing Nichiren Buddhism.
戦争を起こした権力と勇敢に戦いぬいてきた戸田先生には、大きな大きな夢がありました。それは、「この世から、一切の不幸と悲しみをなくす」。そして「世界中の人に幸せをもたらし、平和をつくる」こと。すなわち、広宣流布という夢です。
Mr. Toda, who had bravery struggled with all his might against those responsible for the war, had a huge dream. It was to rid the world of suffering and misery. It was to bring peace and happiness to everyone. In other words, his dream was to achieve kosen-rufu.
そのすばらしい夢を、私は大好きになりました。いつしか、先生と同じ「夢」を実現することが、自分の夢になっていったのです。
I came to truly admire this amazing dream of his. And, eventually, To realize Mr. Toda’s dream become my own dream.
この広宣流布という何よりも大きな夢をめざして、けんめいに努力し、題目を唱えていく中で、ふしぎなことに、子どもの時の夢も、一つ一つかなえていくことができました。
Curiously, while chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and trying hard to make this grand dream of kosen-rufu come true, all of my childhood dreams become a reality as well.
「新聞記者」の夢は「聖教新聞」を発行することで──。
「物語」の夢は小説『人間革命』 『新・人間革命』を執筆することで──。
そして「桜」の夢は、日本と世界の各地への「桜の植樹」となって実りました。
My dream of becoming a journalist came through following the publication of the Seikyo Shinbun, the Soka Gakkai’s daily newspaper.
My dream of writing a story came true by writing my novels, The Human Revolution and The New Human Revolution.
And finally, my dream of planting cherry trees came true by planting cherry trees at all our community centers and other facilities all throughout Japan and the world.
たとえ、夢がすぐに実現しなくても、祈って努力したことが、あとになって、必ず生きてくるのが、題目の力なのです。
Your dreams might not come true right away. But with the power of chanting, all your wishes and efforts will definitely bear fruit.

夢が生きてくる時
今回は、未来部に向けたこんな温かいメッセージをご紹介してみました。
どうでしたでしょうか。
そういえば、私が中学生ぐらいの時、英語が好きだったので英語の先生になりたいなあと思っていました。
それから、もっとそういう専門性を生かせるような仕事、通訳の仕事や翻訳の仕事、そんなことができたらなあと。
語学の勉強をもっとしてみたい、留学してみたい、海外で暮らしたい。
海外の人と出会う事もないような、ど田舎の子供が描く大きな大きな夢ではありました。
結論から言えば、現在の私は、全く違う仕事をしていますが（笑）、
今の自分に後悔することはありません。
いつの間にかこんなブログを書き始め、結果として日本語と英語の言葉をつなぎ、世界中の創価の励ましを発信できる。
子供の頃に、拙いながらも、こうしていきたいなぁと思って祈り続けたことは、確実に自分の生きる軌道に刻まれ、生きてくる時が必ず来る。
英語好きの超マニアックなブログを書くなんて、想像もしていませんでしたが。笑。
素晴らしき人生を！
