私たちはー無宗教と自称する人でもー何かを心から願っている。何かを心の底で祈っている。
これらを宇宙の法則のうえから、祈りと現実がきちんと合致していくようにしたのが、仏法の祈りです。
All people, even those who say that they have no religion, hold deeply cherished wishes and aspirations. We all pray for something in the depths of our hearts. 「目には見えないが実在する法」を探求したのが科学であり、その成果を応用してつくったのが、さまざまな機械です。たとえば、船は、見えない「浮力」の法則を応用してつくったものであり、飛行機なら「揚力」の法則です。ラジオ・テレビは「電波」という法則などでしょう。
そられは宇宙の部分的な法則です。
These natural laws I have just mentioned, however, are but partial laws.
それに対し、仏法は、物心のあらゆる法の根本にある「生命の大法」を探求し、発見したのです。それが「妙法」です。妙法は、目には見えない。しかし厳然と実在する。その妙法の力を引き出せるよう、日蓮大聖人が御本尊を御図顕してくださったのです。
In contrast to science, Buddhism is devoted to the investigation and exploration of the Mystic Law-the great Law of life itself that is the essence and source of all other laws and principles in the material and spiritual realms. The Mystic Law, too, is invisible. Nevertheless, it exists without a doubt. Nichiren Daishonin revealed the object of fundamental respect, the Gohonzon, in the form of mandala so that we could tap and manifest the power of the Mystic Law in our own lives.

みなさん、こんにちは。
さて、今回は海外のメンバーが好きそうなお話を持ってきました。笑。
もちろん私なんかは、そこらへんにいるごくごく普通の凡人ですので、
こういう話は少しずつ自分の体験を積み重ねていって、あぁ、そういうことなんだなぁと実感として得られている部分かもしれませんね。
それにしても余計なものが一切はいっていない、簡潔な表現です。
あらゆるものを2次元にすると物事はすっきり見えるといいますが、
究極のところをつくと、このようにシンプルな説明になるのかもしれませんね。
大聖人に至っては、すべては「南無妙法蓮華経」だけですから、さらにその上をいっています。笑。
凡人にはさくっと理解できる命をもっておりませんから、はやり実践あるのみですね。
海外の方に「仏法とは何ぞや」と説明するとっかかりとしては最適かもしれません。
