どんな人にも必ず「使命」がある。
Every one of us has a mission,
使命があるから生まれてきたのです。
a mission we were born to fulfill. だから、何があろうと、生きて生きて生き抜かなければならない。
That is why, no matter what happens, we must press on in life through all things.
使命—-何に「命」を「使」うか。
The Japanese word for mission means to use one’s life. For what purpose do we use our lives?
自分は、どんな「命」を受けて宇宙から「使わされた」のか。派遣されたのか。
For what purpose have we been born in this world, sent from the universe? Why have we been dispatched here?
仏法では、全宇宙を「ひとつの巨大な生命」と見る。
Buddhism views the universe as one giant leaving entity.
個々の生命は、その大海の波のようなものです。
If we compare it to a vast ocean, each individual life is like a wave on that ocean.
波が盛り上がれば「生」。
When the wave rises from the ocean’s surface, that is life.
波が宇宙に溶け込めば「死」。
When it merges back into the ocean, that is death.
生も死も、宇宙と一体です。
Life and death are one with the universe.
一つの生命が生まれてくるには、全宇宙が賛同し、全宇宙が協力している。
The whole universe approves and cooperates in the birth of a single life.
全宇宙が祝福して送り出してくれたのが、諸君なのです。
All of you have been sent here with the blessings and the congratulations of the entire universe!

使命ーー
今、世界中のメンバーが必死で祈り続けていると聞きます。
国の垣根を越えたみんなの祈りが聞こえてくるような気がします。
今という時に、何に「命」を「使」うか。
私も、みんなの祈りに合わせ、共に祈り続けます。
