「君ら生きている人々は
なにかというとすぐ原因（わけ）を天のせいにする、
You men on earth attribute everything
to the sphere's[the heavens'] influence alone,
まるで天球が萬事（ばんじ）を
必然性により動かしているかのような口吻（こうふん）だ」
as if with some predestined plan they move all thing.
「善悪を知る光や自由意志が君らには与えられている。
you have the light that shows you right from wrong.

そしてこの意志は初期の戦いでは
天球の影響を受けて苦闘するが、
もし意志の力が
and your Free Will, which, though it may grow faint
in its first struggles with the heavens,
もし意志の力が
十分に養成されているならば、
すべてに克（か）てるはずだ」
