汲めども尽きぬ御本尊の偉大なる功力を、
自由自在に引き出していくのは、信心の力です。
It is the power of faith
that enables us to freely tap the great
and inexhaustible benefit of the Gohonzon.
その信心の力を強固にするのが教学です。
And Buddhist study is the means
by which we strengthen our power of faith.
教学を深めることで、
Through deepening our understanding of Nichiren Buddhism,
疑問が納得に変わり、
we can transform questions and doubts into clarity,
「そいうことだったのか」と分かれば、
さらに強盛な祈りとなります。
which in turn intensifies our prayers.
「本当にすごい仏法だ」と感じれば、
祈りに感謝が生まれます。
When we truly come to appreciate
how wonderful this Buddhism is,
our prayers will be filled with gratitude.
「叶わないわけがない」と腹が決まれば、
When we have unshakable conviction
that our desires will be fulfilled,
祈りは歓喜に包まれます。
our prayers will overflow with joy.
「学」によって「信」が強くなれば、
歓喜と感謝の祈りが生まれ、
In other words,
by strengthening our faith through Buddhist study,
our prayers will be filled with gratitude and joy,
御本尊の功徳力を存分に
強く引き出していくことができるのです。
enabling us to tap, freely and powerfully,
the benefit of the Gohonzon.

つまり、
教学という理が深まれば、信心も深まり、
